The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center
Located in West Yellowstone, Montana, the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center is a non-profit wildlife rescue facility that takes in, among other wildlife, grizzly bears that got in to trouble and will otherwise be killed.They took in the famous Sow 101 after careless YNP visitors got her food habituated.
The GWDC most recently took in a young adult male bear they have named, “Bo.”
Bo lived a few miles north of West Yellowstone and was fed at the Rainbow Point Campground in the summer of 2020 by careless campers.
The GWDC currently has 8 bears and is working on an enclosure where orphaned cubs can den and then be released back into the wild.
